CSS Electronics J1939-to-DB9/DB9 adapter (F+G)

Description

This adapter cable fits the 9-pin J1939 connector found in most trucks, buses and tractors - and allows easy connection of e.g. a CANedge to record 2x J1939 data.

For heavy-duty vehicles that offer access to 2 x J1939 via the German 9-pin connector, this cable may offer you a more extensive data set than our normal J1939 adapter cable.

There are two variants of the cable available: Our "J1939-DB9/DB9 (H+J)" and "J1939-DB9/DB9 (F+G)", depending on which pins in the 9-pin connector, allow access the secondary network.

This adapter cable is suitable for heavy-duty vehicles (lorries, buses, tractors, etc.) that allow access to multiple J1939 networks via a single German 9-pin connector.

In particular, the cable allows you to connect a CAN bus data logger (such as the CANedge) directly to the connector to record both the primary J1939 network (such as our standard J1939 adapter) and a secondary J1939 network (if available).

This cable is available in two versions:

H+J provides access via pins H (CAN-H) and J (CAN-L).
F+G provides access via pins F (CAN-H) and G (CAN-L)
For example, the diagnostic plugs for tractors fit the H+J version and allow you to access the J1939 and ISOBUS networks in parallel.
