How does testing work

Just press the Go button and BurnInTest thoroughly tests the hardware on your Windows-based servers, desktops, laptops and tablets in a short amount of time, just as the normal applications would stress a PC over a long period of time. This takes advantage of the fact that computer hardware fails either very early in its life or after many thousands of hours of use.

BurnInTest offers the possibility to create several test configurations for different hardware. Automation can be done via dozens of command line arguments and a built-in scripting language. It is also possible to develop your own test modules and integrate them into BurnInTest (Windows only).

All test modules can be run either in parallel or individually. Running in parallel increases system load, reduces burn-in time, and helps find subtle bugs. It is also possible to customize the duty cycle of each test module.

Test results can be output in a variety of formats, including text and HTML. The software can create user-customized product test certificates, debug logs, and also includes extensive system information such as CPU, GPU temperatures, disk and memory serial numbers.
