Description
The FMC-NET card is designed to enable prototyping and evaluation of various network designs by providing commonly used peripherals such as Gigabit Ethernet, wireless WiFi/Bluetooth, fiber optic QSFP+ and others.
Four independent Gigabit Ethernet PHY modules enable prototyping of designs that require multiple network ports such as switches and routers. Additionally, the Ethernet PHY, a DP83867CR part from Texas Instruments, supports the IEEE 1588 SOF time synchronization protocol required in industrial applications. The availability of QSFP+ and dual-band WiFi/Bluetooth modules makes it easy to review complex and contemporary projects involving fiber optic or wireless communications.
There are also 4x SATA ports that can be used to connect storage or other SATA compatible devices or for debugging.
