Testing system for engines of New Energy Vehicles

New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) are a key development trend for the future of mobility. The TH9520 complete test system was specifically developed for testing drive motors in electric and hybrid vehicles.

The system can check more than 100 channels , thus significantly overcoming the limitations of conventional single devices with only 8 channels.

The testing system enables the measurement of:

  • Insulation resistance
  • AC and DC high-voltage resistance
  • On-resistance
  • Inductance
  • capacity
  • Winding breakover strength

The compact system is easy to use and can automatically save test data. This increases testing efficiency, saves on testing stations, and reduces labor costs.

Solution details

Test requirements:

  1. Insulation and voltage resistance test between the three phases UVW and the motor housing
  2. Measurement of the on-resistance of the three phases UVW
  3. Insulation and dielectric strength test between temperature sensor and housing
  4. Measurement of the on-resistance between temperature sensor and housing

The TH9520 main unit is combined with three channel scan boxes to form a 30-channel complete engine testing system .

Each channel has two high-voltage relays . A four-wire measurement method (Kelvin measurement) is used to measure the on-resistance, which significantly improves measurement accuracy.
