The A058 PoE adapter supplies power to CANsub.2/4 via Ethernet (IEEE 802.3af/at). It delivers 5V/2.4A, Ethernet passthrough 10/100 Mbps, and is compact for rack and field use.
Description
Compact PoE adapter for powering CANsub devices via a single Ethernet cable. Extracts 5V from PoE/PoE+ and powers the CANsub via the USB-C connection, while Ethernet data is passed through at 10/100 Mbps. Compliant with IEEE 802.3af and 802.3at; suitable for laboratory, rack, and mobile applications. Technically designed for clean cabling and easy integration into PoE infrastructures.
Features
- Powers CANsub devices via Power-over-Ethernet (PoE/PoE+)
- Compliant with IEEE 802.3af and 802.3at
- Extracts 5 V DC up to 2.4 A (max. 15 W) for the CANsub
- PoE input voltage: DC 44–57 V
- Ethernet passthrough: 10/100 Mbps
- Compact design: 8 x 3 x 3 cm, weight approx. 60 g
- Operating temperature: -10 °C to +70 °C
- Eliminates separate USB power supplies for Ethernet-based CANsub installations
- Easy to integrate into PoE switches, routers or injectors
The A058 PoE adapter enables the operation of CANsub.2 and CANsub.4 without separate USB power supplies: A single PoE-enabled Ethernet cable provides both data and power simultaneously. Compliant with IEEE 802.3af and 802.3at standards, the module accepts a PoE input voltage of 44–57 V DC and delivers 5 V DC up to 2.4 A (max. 15 W) to the CANsub via the integrated cable. Ethernet is provided as a 10/100 Mbps passthrough, allowing network access and power supply over a single connection. Measuring just 8 x 3 x 3 cm and weighing approximately 60 g, the adapter is very compact; its operating temperature range is -10 °C to +70 °C. Application scenarios include scaled test benches, rack-mounted devices, and remote or hard-to-reach installations where separate USB power supplies would be impractical. The solution reduces cabling effort and simplifies the management of multiple CANsub units in the network.
