Description

The SDS5000HD-PA3 is a software option for the SDS5000X HD series for three-phase power analysis. It enables synchronous multi-channel measurements of voltage and current, as well as automated calculations of active power, apparent power, and power factor. Built-in analysis functions provide harmonic and FFT evaluations, as well as vector visualizations for precise network and drive diagnostics.

Features

  • Three-phase power analysis with vector and FFT visualization
  • Synchronous multi-channel measurement of voltage and current
  • Automatic calculation of active power, apparent power and power factor
  • Harmonic harmonic analysis (THD) and harmonic evaluation
  • Inrush and start-up current measurement
  • Switching loss analysis for loss quantification
  • Efficiency and ripple measurement functions
  • SOA and PSRR support (evaluation functions)
  • Seamless integration into the SDS5000X HD user interface with reporting function

The SDS5000HD-PA3 extends the capabilities of SDS5000X HD oscilloscopes with comprehensive three-phase analysis functions and is designed for developers and test engineers in the fields of power quality, drive control, and power electronics. This option combines synchronous voltage and current recording across multiple channels with automated measurement algorithms for active, apparent, and reactive power, as well as phase angle and total harmonic distortion (THD). Typical applications include inverter efficiency testing, inrush and start-up current analysis, evaluation of switching losses, and ripple and fault investigation. Visualizations in the form of vector diagrams and harmonic spectra facilitate fault localization. Integration into the oscilloscope's user interface enables fast workflows, standardized measurement procedures, and exportable measurement results. Appropriate voltage and current transformers, as well as differential or isolated test leads, must be used for valid measurements.
