Description
The SNA5002A vector network analyzer has a frequency range of 9 kHz to 4.5 GHz and has 2 channels. Designed to provide instant insight into scatter, difference and time domain measurements. The Vector Network Analyzer is an effective instrument for determining the Q factor, bandwidth and insertion loss of a filter. In doing so, the instrument provides impedance conversion, measurement plane movement, limit testing, ripple testing, fixture simulation, and adapter removal/insertion adjustments. There are five sweep types: Linear-Frequency, Log-Frequency, Power-Sweep, CW-Time and Segment-Sweep modes. The SNA5000A series VNAs also support SOLT, SOLR, TRL, Response and Enhanced Response sweep parameter correction for more flexibility in R&D and manufacturing applications. The Siglent SNA5000A have a very well-designed and easy-to-use operation, while providing extensive convenience features for all tasks. The menu navigation is intuitive to use and all functions and parameters are made easy to operate through a graphical display. A total of five sweep types are enabled including linear frequency mode, logarithmic frequency mode, power sweep mode, CW time mode and segment sweep mode.

Product highlights
SNA5000A device series
The SNA5000A series offers great user-friendliness as well as accessibility with an intuitive touch screen (12.1 inch) & numerous remote control options such as a free web interface. The numerous interfaces make it easy to work & transfer data sets. SIGLENT SNA5000A series vector network analyzers have a frequency range of 9 kHz to 8.5 GHz, with 2-port and 4-port models available.
Calibration kit
The SNA5000A supports advanced time domain analysis to measure impedance versus distance to distinguish between inductive and capacitive transitions. With Time Domain Gating, we can isolate different sections of the device and see the effects in the frequency domain. Another application for TDR is fault location for coaxial cables in cellular and CATV installations.
Embedding & De-embedding
In RF and microwave, a major challenge is to effectively eliminate the harmful effects of devices. In most cases, the test result contains the characteristics of the effect because the specific effect connects the test port of the fixture and the input port of the fixture during SMD testing. The SNA5000A applies various methods to minimize the effect caused by the fixture effect.
Extended Time Domain Analysis (TDR)
The SNA5000A supports advanced time domain analysis to measure impedance versus distance to distinguish between inductive and capacitive transitions. With Time Domain Gating, we can isolate different sections of the device and see the effects in the frequency domain. Another application for TDR is fault location for coaxial cables in cellular and CATV installations.
Low noise floor & high dynamic range measurements
The system dynamic range, the difference between the measurement power available at the test port and the receiver noise floor, are critical parameters of a VNA. The dynamic range of the SIGLENT SNA5000A series can be up to 125 dB@10 Hz, meeting all specific RF test requirements, such as simultaneous testing of in-band and out-of-band filters
S-parameters and balance measurement
For S-parameter measurement on 4 ports, multiple waveforms can be added in different windows with Log Mag, Lin Mag, Phase, Delay, Smith, SWR, Polar, etc. formats. This is used for transmission & reflection tracking, load matching and directivity analysis. Waveforms can be saved as references and limits can be added for pass/fail testing.
