683xx Freescale Microcontroller Programmer

The Freescale 683xx (formerly Motorola 683xx) is a family of compatible microcontrollers that use a Motorola 68000-based CPU core. The family was developed using a hardware description language, which makes the parts synthesizable and amenable to improved manufacturing processes such as shrinkage. Two CPU cores are used in the 683xx family: the 68EC000 and the CPU32. The instruction set of the CPU32 core is similar to that of the 68020 without bit field commands and contains some commands that are unique to the CPU32 core, such as table search and interpolation commands and a stop mode with low power consumption.The tools provided here by eVision Systems help you to understand the complexity of Reduce application and product tests and implement their application on your MCU without errors.

1. Compatible Debug Interfaces

The Multilink models greatly simplify programming and debugging of embedded target systems. They allow a PC to communicate with a target processor via a high-speed USB interface on the PC and a debug port on the microcontroller. The PC can then control the microprocessor through the target chip's debug port. Debug mode allows full control over processor operation, regardless of whether the processor has already been programmed. For example, a controlling application can access the memory from the CPU's point of view.
