Hardware details
SIGLENT's SDG6000X is a series of dual-channel pulse/arbitrary signal generators that offer up to 500 MHz bandwidth, a maximum sampling rate of 2.4 GSa/s, and 16-bit vertical resolution. They also incorporate proprietary TrueArb and EasyPulse technology, which helps address the weaknesses of conventional DDS generators in generating arbitrary, square and pulse waveforms. In addition, the SDG6000X is a multifunction device that can generate noise, IQ signals and PRBS patterns. These features enable the SDG6000X to provide a variety of high-fidelity, low-jitter signals to meet the growing demands of complex and intensive applications.
Product highlights

Low amplitude signals
Low noise floor, improves the signal-to-noise ratio.

Large signals at high frequencies
Two-channel sine wave with 20 Vpp amplitude guaranteed at up to 40 MHz.

Modulation waveforms with Easy IQ software
IQ waveforms can be generated with the EasyIQ software.

Generate PRBS signals
PRBS3 - PRBS32 with fine adjustable 10 -6 bps - 300 Mbps bit rate and 1 ns - 1us edge.

Dual-channel operating modes
The "Phase-Locked" mode automatically aligns the phases of each output. Independent" mode allows the two channels to be used as two independent generators. Independent mode also smooths parameter changes (frequency, amplitude) made to an active channel.

Extensive modulation selection
Standard modulation types include AM, FM, PM, FSK, ASK, PSK, DSBAM and PWM. IQ modulation is optional. The modulation source can also be configured as "Internal" or "External".

Sweep and burst
Sweep modes include "Linear" and "Log". Burst modes include "N-Cycle" and "Gated". Both sweep and burst can be triggered by an "internal", "external" or "manual" source.

PRBS
Preset common logic levels such as TTL, LVCMOS, LVPECL and LVDS. An additional differential mode provides an easy way to create differential signals using both channels.

Noise
Gaussian noise with a bandwidth of up to 500 MHz. The repetition period is more than 100 years and the bandwidth is adjustable. Wideband Gaussian noise can be easily added to other waveforms to simulate real-world scenarios where the signal contains a high level of noise.

IQ-Modulation
The SDG6000X supports common modulation types such as ASK, FSK, PSK and QAM. The proprietary resampling technology provides excellent EVM performance at any symbol rate between 250 Symb/s - 37.5 MSymb/s. The built-in digital quadrature modulator provides the ability to generate IQ signals from baseband up to the 500 MHz intermediate frequency.

Low jitter
When a square/pulse waveform is generated by conventional DDS, additional jitter can occur if the sampling rate is not an integer multiple of the output frequency. EasyPulse technology successfully overcomes this weakness in DDS designs and helps generate square/pulse waveforms with low jitter.

Point-by-point output
TrueArb generates arbitrary waveforms point by point. It never skips a point, so it can reconstruct all details of the waveform as defined. Two interpolation modes are available: linear and zero order hold.

Up to 500 MHz sine wave
Our ultra-high frequency generator. Novel design delivers higher voltages over a wide frequency range.

Adjustable pulse width
Adjustable pulse widthThe pulse width can be fine-tuned to the minimum of 3.3 ns at any frequency with an adjustment step of only 100 ps.

Adjustable pulse edges
Rise/fall times can be independently set to the minimum of 1 ns at each frequency with a minimum adjustment step of only 100 ps

Frequency counter
8-digit hardware frequency counter with statistics function and input range from 0.1 Hz - 400 MHz.

Waveforms with the EasyWave software
EasyWave is an arbitrary waveform software platform that supports waveform creation and editing. It has manual drawing as well as editing modes for lines, equations and coordinates. It is also a convenient way for users to edit their own arbitrary waveforms.
