Description
The SDG8002A is a professional 2-channel function and arbitrary waveform generator with 16-bit resolution and high RF performance. It delivers interpolated sampling rates up to 10 GSa/s (optionally 12 GSa/s for IQ modes) and generates RF outputs up to 5 GHz. The hardware combines a large memory depth per channel, EasyPulse technology for low-jitter pulse shapes, and single-ended and differential outputs. Operation is via the 7" touchscreen or standard interfaces (USB host/device, LAN, optional GPIB). Built-in SSD capacity and web server functions simplify data storage and remote operation.

The SDG8002A is designed for demanding applications in communications technology, research, and industry. With 16-bit resolution and high interpolated sampling rates, it precisely reproduces challenging arbitrary and IQ signals. The internal modulation unit and compatibility with SigIQPro enable the generation of complex wireless standards such as Bluetooth, WLAN, and LTE. The device logic supports multi-stage sequences, multi-pulse, multi-tone, and chirp signals, allowing for time-critical test sequences and RF tests. Short pulse widths (down to the sub-nanosecond range) and low jitter make the device suitable for circuit testing and power component analysis.
