Siglent SDS5000HD-SENT software option

The SDS5000HD-SENT software option enables decoding and analysis of the automotive-oriented SENT protocol in compatible SDS5000X HD oscilloscopes. In addition to displaying telegrams in a readable format, the option offers hardware-level triggering capabilities for fast and slow channels, as well as for definable error events. Built-in detection for synchronization and CRC errors, as well as timing deviations, simplifies the validation of sensor connections. Users can adjust parameters such as clock period, tolerances, CRC format, and message structure to accommodate various manufacturer implementations. Practical applications include testing and fault analysis of speed, pressure, or temperature sensors in engine control units, test bench development, and final series production acceptance testing. The combination of analog waveform display and synchronized decoding data accelerates troubleshooting and directly correlates error sources. The option is unlocked as a license and can be integrated into existing SDS5000X HD systems; it complements the platform options for serial decoders and mixed-signal expansions and is suitable for both laboratory and manufacturing environments.
