Hardware details
The SDS7000A series uses Siglent's SPO technology with a maximum waveform capture rate of up to 1,000,000 wfm/s, a 256-level intensity gradation display function and a colour temperature display mode. It also features an innovative digital trigger system with high sensitivity and low jitter. The trigger system supports multiple powerful trigger modes, including serial bus triggering. Tools such as history waveform recording, search and navigation functions, signal scan, mask test, bode plot, power analysis, eye/jitter analysis and conformance test enable acquisition, storage and recordings to be captured, stored and analysed. An impressive range of measurement and maths functions, options for a 50 MHz arbitrary waveform generator and serial decoding are further features of the SDS7000A.
The large 15.6-inch capacitive HD touch screen supports multi-touch gestures, with the addition of user-friendly UI user-friendly UI design, can greatly improve operational efficiency. It also supports mouse control and web remote control via LAN.
Product highlights
12-bit high resolution
The 12-bit resolution shows you more detail and less noise in the waveform.
Improved processor system
The processor has been completely upgraded from an embedded ARM processor to X86 processor, which has improved the response speed of the system and the speed of measurements and calculations.
It offers more possibilities for expanding software analysis functions in the future.
Excellent user interface and ease of use
The SDS7000A series has a 15.6" HD display with a resolution of 1920*1080. With the multi-touch screen, the waveform curves can be quickly moved or scaled by finger movements
The built-in web server supports remote control via a web page over LAN. An external mouse and keyboard can be easily connected to the device.
High waveform update rate
With a waveform update rate of up to 1,000,000 wfm/s, the oscilloscope can easily capture unusual or unlikely events. In sequence mode, the waveform capture rate can reach 1,100,000 wfm/s.
Deep record length
With hardware-based zoom technology and a recording length of up to 1 Gpts, users can select a slower time base without compromising the sampling rate.
Multiple trigger functions
Edge, slope, pulse, video, window, run, interval, dropout,
pattern, qualified, Nth edge, set-up/hold, delay and serial trigger
Zone Trigger
Zone Trigger is available for extended triggering. Combine spatial triggering with the usual trigger modes to isolate signals
Advanced mathematical function
In addition to traditional operations (+, -, X, /), FFT, filter, integration, differential, square root and more are supported. A formula editor is available for more complex operations. 4 mathematical tracks are available.
Deep Memory FFT
FT supports operation with up to 32 Mpts. This enables high frequency resolution with a fast update rate. The FFT function also supports a variety of window functions so that it can adapt to different spectrum measurement requirements. Three modes
(Normal, Average and Max hold) can meet the different requirements of power spectrum observation.
Measurements of a variety of parameters
The parameter measurements include 4 categories: horizontal, vertical, miscellaneous and CH delay with a total of over 50 different types of measurements. Measurements can be performed within a specific gate period. Measurements on Math, Reference and History frames are supported
Parameter statistics function
The statistics show the current value, maximum value, minimum value, standard deviation and mean value of up to 12 parameters simultaneously. A histogram is available to show the probability distribution of a parameter. Trend and Track are available to display the parameter value compared to time. For horizontal parameters such as the period, all results are extracted from a frame instead of calculating only the first one. This speeds up the statistics for horizontal measurements and makes it possible to observe the distribution in a frame with histogram and track.
History Mode
The history function can record up to 124,000 images of waveforms. The recording is performed automatically so that the history waveforms can be replayed at any time,
to observe unusual events. The failed frames of the mask test
can be saved as a history
Sequence mode
In sequence mode, the waveform is stored in multiple memory segments (up to 124,000) and each segment stores a triggered waveform and the dead time information. The interval between segments can be as small as 0.9 μs. All segments can be replayed using the "History" function.
Searching and navigating
The oscilloscope can search for the events specified by the user. Marked events can be automatically called up
with Navigate.
Serial bus decoding
Display of the decoded characters in the event list. Bus protocol information can be displayed quickly and intuitively in tabular form. I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, LIN, CAN FD, FlexRay, I2S, MIL-STD-1553B, SENT, Manchester, ARINC429 and USB 2.0 are supported
Hardware-based high-speed mask test function
The oscilloscope has a hardware-based mask test function that makes up to 80,000 pass/fail decisions per second. It is used for monitoring and automated testing of production lines.
Eye/jitter analysis
Supports eye diagram and jitter analysis/measurement. It can automatically extract the embedded reference clock from serial data and generate the eye diagram. Measurement of multiple eye/jitter parameters is possible. Mask test on eye diagrams is supported
