Description

The Superpro IS416 is a general purpose in-system gang programmer that can program up to 16 ICs at a time. In addition, the programmer supports numerous serial protocols including I2C, SPI, UART, BDM, MW, JTAG, CAN and RS232. The device can be connected to the PC via USB2.0 or LAN or used in standalone modes. An SD card serves as storage medium, which can also be changed as required. A fee-based DLL, API and command line commands are available for integrating the device into user-defined programs, e.g. for automation applications, whereby the device can be controlled via ICT, FCT, ATE.

  • Programs up to 16 serial chips or 4 parallel NAND, NOR, eMMC chips simultaneously
  • Supports serial ISP programming for multiple chips of different models or types in one unit
  • Common control ports provide signal isolation, relay isolation, power control, click detection, LED expansion indicator and other control signals
  • Adjustable speed high-speed programming meets the requirements of board load or ISP cable length
  • Three modes: 1) Online mode. Connected to local PC via USB2.0 (high speed) 2) Offline mode. With its dedicated keyboard, LCD display and mobile storage (standard SD cards), SuperPro IS416 can operate independently offline for flexible production and field setup. The size of the project file is only limited by the storage size of the SD card.3) Network mode. Connected to local network, control locally or remotely.
  • Advanced pin driver technology delivers cleaner signals, wider voltage range and more accurate / higher clock frequency. Precise timing generators ensure higher speed and qualified product ratio for 1.2V-5.0V Vcc devices
  • Chip Safety Mechanism: The built-in precise voltage self-calibration circuit ensures that the voltage is within the preset range at all times. The self-diagnostic function continuously detects hardware errors to ensure the machine runs normally.
  • Overcurrent, overvoltage and ESD protection prevents damage to programmers
  • The user operation interface is indicated by PCBA
  • Log document and production statistics function make quality tracking easier.
  • Copyright protection with SD encryption, document rights management and encryption, output limitation and remote control.
  • Customized special functions and algorithm software available
  • Web programmer + network management software (optional) create a revolutionary management mode for writing networks. Project setting, task switching and software update for all programmers can be completed instantly on one server, while quality monitoring and QC statistics can be performed in real time. Such errors as blank writing can be tracked and the written data is only stored on local or remote servers for data security reasons.
  • With a custom socket adapter, SuperPro IS416 can be used as an offline production programmer, programming up to 4 chips at a time.
  • Supports all major ISP protocols (e.g. I2C, SPI, UART, BDM, MW, JTAG, CAN, RS232)

  • Offline storage medium: SD card
  • Keyboard and display: 6-key keyboard, 40 digits x 4 lines LCD display
  • Power supply: DC 12V/1.5A. Power adapter
  • Main unit: Dimensions: 184 x 160 x 78 (mm); Weight: 0.8kg
  • Packaging: Dimensions: 310 x 250 x 145 (mm); Weight: 1.65kg
  • Operating temperature: 0-50°C. Humidity: 20%-80%

More features

  • Ultra fast programming speed

SuperPro IS416 is designed for high programming speed. Our semiconductor manufacturer-approved algorithms, precision, and clean signals guarantee high programming yields. A special design was developed to eliminate overshoot and ground bounce. Algorithms are executed with a state machine architecture constructed with FPGA to achieve ultra-high programming speed.

  • Programming up to 16 PCBs

SuperPro IS416 supports almost all serial devices including MCUs, serial FLASH/EEPROMs and most parallel storage devices such as eMMC and NAND/NOR FLASH. It is a 96-pin, 16-channel driver programmer (6 I/O x 16 channels). SuperPro IS416 supports most ISP devices to program 16 channels simultaneously. Four parallel high pin count chips like NAND/eMMC can be programmed at the same time. Four parallel high pin count chips like NAND/eMMC can be programmed at the same time.

  • Extension Up to 12 programmers

can be connected to a single PC to program multiple boards, or all programmers can be used in standalone mode.

  • Mass production mode

SuperPro IS416 has a working mode called "mass production", that is, as soon as the programmer realizes that the target board is ready and receives an ISP signal, it immediately starts the one defined by AUTO Functional operation without keyboard operation. TPIN and TPOUT are available in the ISP port for this. TPOUT supplies a high level and TPIN is the input line for level detection. If these points are short-circuited on the target board, TPIN will detect high level immediately after applying the ISP signal to the test point, and the AUTO command sequence can be started.

  • Longer cable length

supported by adjustable speed For industrial applications, numerous problems arise when in-system programming (ISP) with a parallel programming device via an ISP -Header done. Parallel programmers constrain the target board to be programmed to a certain distance (usually less than a few inches). SuperPro IS416 is a serial programmer with an ISP cable that can program a target at a distance of up to 1m. In addition to cable line driving capability for long-distance applications, the advanced in-system driver allows the operating speed to be adjusted for execution timing purposes. VDD (0-5.5V/0.5A) and Vpp (0-15V/0.2A) lines to power the target board and the target.

Software Features

    • Project files
The project file stores preparations before programming. Users can also restore and save the work environment. The project file contains device type, buffer data, operational option settings, configuration bit settings, and batch commands. Project files can be password protected to increase security and reliability when operated by untrained operators. Project Group: Run Multiple Project Files in Batch Mode Multiple chips can be programmed simultaneously using the SuperPro IS416 software's Project Group feature.
    • The Project Group
organizes batch execution of multiple projects and is available on all SuperPro ISP models. Other ISP programmers need a demultiplexer to program two chips with a single ISP programmer, and this solution is not suitable for mass production because programming chips takes longer, causes noise and additional hardware and labor costs.
    • Super Scale Project Group
Complicated PCBAs or multiple combined PCBAs may require multiple programmers to properly scale; to function. The Super Scale Project Group is responsible for the workflow of several programmers.
    • Auto Function
The Auto Function organizes various functions into a sequential group (Erase, Blank Check, Program, Verify, and Protect). Functions are executed in sequential order, similar to a batch command.
    • Production Statistics
A log file can be used to store operational information before the program exits. Log files can also be used to facilitate quality tracking.
    • Factory Mode
This mode is designed for mass production in the factory. In order to prevent operation errors from destroying chips and wrong data from being written on the chip, SuperPro works in auto function mode. The administrator can set a password to prevent unauthorized access to the system.
    • XPlayer
SuperPro IS416 supports JAM, SVF and Staple files from ACTEL, Xilinx and ALTERA. SuperPro IS416 also supports ACTEL Direct C files. STP or JAM files can be generated using design tools such as ISE and Quartus II.
    • Automatic detection of file types
We support almost all known file formats, including file formats with automatic detection features: Binary, Intel (linear & segmented) Hex, Motorola S, Tektronix (linear & segmented), JEDEC, POF etc.
    • Automatic increment of serial numbers
Automatic generation of electronic serial numbers is available on the Superpro IS416. This feature is implemented by setting Auto increment in Operation Option. Auto Increment allows users to add a unique serial number to the device. After each successful programming, the software will automatically change the value by the specified increment mode.
    • Barcode Management
is also available to complete all setup tasks by scanning barcodes on the job sheet.
    • Copyright protection
with SD encryption, project file encryption and access control, volume control and remote control.
