Hardware details
The SHN900A series vector network analysers from SIGLENT have a frequency range from 30 kHz to 26.5 GHz and support 2-port scattering parameter, differential parameter and time domain parameter measurements. The SHN900A series VNAs are effective measurement devices for determining the Q-factor, bandwidth and insertion loss of a filter. They offer impedance conversion, measurement plane shift, limit testing, ripple testing, device simulation and adapter removal/insertion. The VNAs have five sweep types: Linear Frequency Mode, Log Frequency Mode, Power Sweep Mode, CW Time Mode and Segment Sweep Mode. Better performance
The SHN900A is designed for ultimate portability and ease of use, offering flexible and simple operation methods. SHN900A is with high integration, the whole machine weighs less than 3.2kg and the size is 310mm × 215mm × 78.5mm. It is powered by Li-ion batteries that have an operating time of up to 4 hours, which is more suitable for complex environments such as outdoor areas, confined spaces and aerial work.

Accurate calibration and measurement
The accuracy of a network analyser is closely linked to calibration. The SHN900A supports calibration methods such as SOLT, SOLR, TRL, Response, Enhanced Response, etc. It is compatible with a wide range of calibration components, supports customised calibration kits and facilitates the testing of devices with different interface types. The SHN900A supports impedance conversion, simulation of devices, removal/insertion of adapters, etc.

Adjustable differential/single-ended probes TDR
When measuring the impedance of electronic components such as PCBs and wires, the uneven spacing during testing requires the creation of suitable probes and fixtures. With this adjustable probe (ASP-18/26, ADP18/26), the distance of the test probes can be set between 0 mm and 6.5 mm using the built-in adjusting wheel, so that the test can be carried out quickly.

Vector network analyser (standard)
With a dynamic range of up to 110 dB, the SHN900A fulfils many requirements for tests with a high dynamic range. The low trace noise significantly improves test accuracy and fulfils the user's need for precise measurements. The SHN900A supports measurement of scattering/differential parameters, TDR, VSWR, port matching, insertion loss, tower amplifier, cable fault location, Smith chart, impulse measurement, etc.

Cable and antenna analysis (standard)
The CAT mode of the SHN900A is used to check and troubleshoot the electrical performance of RF and microwave transmission systems and is ideal for tasks such as antenna system installation and maintenance, distance-to-fault (DTF) measurements on cables, attenuation measurements on single port cables and antenna matching measurements.

Spectral analysis (SHN900-SA)
The spectrum analysis mode supports the measurement of parameters such as channel power, adjacent channel power ratio (ACPR) and occupied bandwidth. Marker → SA supports a quick view of the spectrum at specific frequency points of the S-parameters, which facilitates signal search and analysis. Simple and clear setup boxes simplify the testing process, and a series of standardised, repetitive measurements can be performed quickly and easily without error.

Time domain analysis (SHN900-TDA)
TDA supports time domain transformation, windowing, coupling, tagging and gating, which facilitates the characterisation of the device from both time and frequency domain perspectives, e.g. filtering the desired time domain response using the gating function and reducing overshoot and ringing using the windowing function.

Improved time domain analysis (SHN900-TDR)
TDR provides time domain reflection, transmission analysis and eye diagram simulation analysis functions, compared with the ordinary frequency domain analysis, it can quickly locate the fault point, determine the type of fault, can use the built-in virtual code generator to generate simulated eye diagrams, with jitter injection function to simulate the effect of the input signal with jitter on signal transmission.

GPS tracking and recording (standard)
The portable vector network analysers of the SNA series can quickly pinpoint the location of interference sources in combination with the GPS function. Combined with the recording and playback function, users can record the measurement results of spectrum, channel power and adjacent channel power ratio in multiple specific locations, identify and locate interference signals, and better meet the requirements of various applications.
