Description
The Advanced Cable Tester v2 Connection Module: USB 3.1 Standard-A to USB 3.1 Standard-B enables testing of cables with USB 3.2 / USB 3.1 / USB 2.0 Standard-A on one end and USB Standard-B on the other end of the cable. This module has a USB 3.1 standard A socket and a USB 3.1 standard B socket. Each module uses a proprietary finger-style connector that can only be used with the Advanced Cable Tester v2.
Key Features
- Measure the DC resistance of VBUS and GND cables individually
- Measure the DC resistance of the VBUS and GND pins on the USB Type-C connector individually
- Make sure the wiring is correct and that no wires are shorted or broken
- USB 2.0 pair testing is supported at around 518 Mb/s, and all existing SuperSpeed pairs are tested at 5 Gb/s or 10 Gb/s.

- Continuity/Short/Open Check
- DCR measurement for all lines except high-speed data lines
- Signal integrity test of data lines with up to 12.8 Gbit/s per channel
