Description
The SNA5014A vector network analyzer has a frequency range of 9 kHz to 8.5 GHz and four channels. Designed to provide immediate insight into scattering, difference, and time-domain measurements, this vector network analyzer is an effective instrument for determining a filter's Q-factor, bandwidth, and insertion loss. It offers impedance conversion, measurement plane movement, limit testing, ripple testing, fixture simulation, and adapter removal/insertion adjustments. Five sweep modes are available: linear frequency, log frequency, power sweep, CW time, and segment sweep. The SNA5000A series VNAs also support scattering parameter correction using SOLT, SOLR, TRL, response, and enhanced response for greater flexibility in R&D and manufacturing applications. The Siglent SNA5000A transceivers feature a very well-designed and user-friendly interface, offering a wide range of convenient functions for all tasks. The menu navigation is intuitive, and all functions and parameters are easily accessible through a graphical display. A total of five sweep modes are available, including linear frequency mode, logarithmic frequency mode, power sweep mode, CW time mode, and segment sweep mode.

Product Highlights

SNA5000A series of devices
The SNA5000A series offers large User-friendliness and accessibility are ensured by an intuitive 12.1-inch touchscreen and numerous remote control options, including a free web interface. The many interfaces facilitate operation and data transfer. The SIGLENT SNA5000A series vector network analyzers have a frequency range of 9 kHz to 8.5 GHz, and are available in 2- and 4-port models.

Calibration kit
The SNA5000A supports advanced time-domain analysis for measuring impedance as a function of distance, distinguishing between inductive and capacitive junctions. Time domain gating allows us to isolate different sections of the device and observe the effects in the frequency domain. Another application for TDR is fault location in coaxial cables used in mobile and CATV installations.

Embedding & De-embedding
In the RF and microwave range, a major challenge lies in effectively eliminating the harmful effects of fixtures. In most cases, the test result reflects the effects because the specific effect connects the device's test terminal and input terminal during SMD testing. The SNA5000A employs various methods to minimize the effects caused by the fixture effect.

Extended Time Domain Analysis (TDR)
The SNA5000A supports advanced time-domain analysis for measuring impedance as a function of distance, distinguishing between inductive and capacitive junctions. Time domain gating allows us to isolate different sections of the device and observe the effects in the frequency domain. Another application for TDR is fault location in coaxial cables used in mobile and CATV installations.

Low background noise & high dynamic range measurements
The system dynamic range, the difference between the measurement power available at the test port and the receiver's noise floor, are critical parameters of a VNA. The dynamic range of the SIGLENT SNA5000A series can reach up to 125 dB@10 Hz, thus meeting all specific requirements for RF testing, such as the simultaneous testing of in-band and out-of-band filters.

S-parameter and balance measurement
For S-parameter measurement at 4 connections, multiple measurement curves can be added in different windows with formats such as Log Mag, Lin Mag, Phase, Delay, Smith, SWR, Polar, etc. This serves the purpose of Monitoring of transmission and reflection, load matching, and directional analysis. Measurement curves can be saved as references, and limit values for pass/fail tests can be added.
