Description
The SNA5004A vector network analyser has a frequency range of 9 kHz to 8.5 GHz and has 4 channels. Designed to provide instant insight into scatter, difference and time domain measurements. The Vector Network Analyser is an effective instrument for determining the Q-factor, bandwidth and insertion loss of a filter. The device offers impedance conversion, measurement plane movement, limit testing, ripple testing, fixture simulation and adapter removal/insertion adjustments. There are five sweep types: Linear-Frequency, Log-Frequency, Power-Sweep, CW-Time and Segment-Sweep mode. The SNA5000A series VNAs also support scattering parameter correction of SOLT, SOLR, TRL, Response and Enhanced Response for more flexibility in R&D and manufacturing applications. The Siglent SNA5000A has a very well thought-out and easy-to-use operation, which at the same time offers extensive comfort functions for all tasks. The menu navigation is intuitive to use and all functions and parameters are easy to operate thanks to a graphic display. A total of five sweep types are possible, including linear frequency mode, logarithmic frequency mode, power sweep mode, CW time mode and segment sweep mode.

Product highlights

SNA5000A Series
The SNA5000A series offers great user-friendliness and accessibility with an intuitive touch screen (12.1 inch) & numerous remote control options such as a free web interface. The numerous interfaces facilitate working & the transfer of data sets. The SIGLENT SNA5000A series vector network analysers have a frequency range from 9 kHz to 8.5 GHz, with 2 and 4 port models available.

Calibration kit
The SNA5000A supports extended time domain analysis to measure impedance as a function of distance to distinguish between inductive and capacitive transitions. With time domain gating, we can isolate different sections of the device and see the effects in the frequency domain. Another application for TDR is fault location in coaxial cables in mobile phone and CATV installations.

Embedding & de-embedding
In the RF and microwave range, a major challenge is to effectively eliminate the harmful effects of devices. In most cases, the test result contains the characteristics of the effect because the specific effect connects the test port of the device and the input port of the device during SMD testing. The SNA5000A uses various methods to minimise the effect caused by the fixture effect.

Extended time domain analysis (TDR)
The SNA5000A supports extended time domain analysis to measure impedance as a function of distance to differentiate between inductive and capacitive transitions. With time domain gating, we can isolate different sections of the device and see the effects in the frequency domain. Another application for TDR is fault location on coaxial cables in mobile phone and CATV installations.

Low noise floor & high dynamic range measurements
The system dynamic range, the difference between the measurement power available at the test port and the noise floor of the receiver, is a critical parameter of a VNA. The dynamic range of the SIGLENT SNA5000A series can be up to 125 dB@10 Hz and thus fulfils all specific requirements for RF tests, such as the simultaneous testing of in-band and out-of-band filters

S-parameter and balance measurement
For the S-parameter measurement at 4 ports, several measurement curves can be added in different windows with the formats Log Mag, Lin Mag, Phase, Delay, Smith, SWR, Polar, etc.. This is used for tracking transmission & reflection, load matching and for directivity analysis. Measurement curves can be saved as references and limit values can be added for pass/fail tests.
